I am happy to be starting the first entries into the Lice Lady Blog. I think one of the first things people want to know is what are head lice? All too often people do not know what to look for and many are misdiagnosed and treated unnecessarily. Head lice are small black to brown bugs 1 to 4 mm in length with six legs.
They feed off the human scalp and do not hop, jump or fly. Their eggs are brown when viable and are attached to one side of the hair shaft on an angle and cannot be blown or flicked off.
